Sub Catchment Storage¶
Warning
This node is currently under testing..
The Sub Catchment Scale Storage node serves to implement a representation of sub catchment scale water capture and reuse systems. The node functions by defining the from which sub catchment to capture water, to which sub catchments to provide water for reuse, and the volume of the storage The reuse streams are priorities with reuse priority 1 having the highest priority followed by 2 and 3. Water will first be provided to the stream with the higher priority until the demand is fulfilled. The overflow of the storage will be directed to the capture stream. As a result a sub-catchment scale storage will reduce the capture stream and the demand of the reuse streams. Note that reuse priority 1 needs to be set. The other reuse streams are optional.
Storage Model¶
The storage behaviour is implemented as a simple bucket or conceptual model and is linked into the flow network based in the defined stream configuration. [Mitchell et al., 2001]
Storage Cascades¶
Sub catchment scale storages can be arranged in a cascade. The order of the storage is defined by the order of how the sub catchment scale storages are added to the workflow.
Capture streams and reuse streams are routed through the storage cascade. This means that for example a grey water harvesting system represented provide water for non potable and outdoor use. A storm water harvesting system connected in series after the grey water harvesting system will provide additional water for outdoor use.
Parameter¶
Note
The Sub Catchment ID needs to be set correctly. You can find the sub catchment ID’s currently on the dash board in the sub-catchment table. This will be update in a future version.
